SponsorAFamily.org is a sponsorship platform that connects donors directly with families in need. The platform facilitates two main user journeys:

  1. Donors/Sponsors – Browse and sponsor families in need
  2. Sponsored Families – Create listings and receive 90% of donations directly

USER JOURNEY 1: DONOR/SPONSOR PROCESS

Step 1: Discovery (Homepage)

  • URL: https://sponsorafamily.org/
  • User sees:
    • Main heading: “Connect. Support. Transform Lives.”
    • Value proposition: “90% of every donation going straight to families”
    • Two primary CTAs: “Browse Families To Sponsor ❤ī¸” and “Share Your Story 🌟”

Step 2: Browse Families

Step 3: View Family Profile

  • Action: Click on a family listing
  • Information displayed: Family photos, story, number of kids/adults, age range, PayPal email
  • Primary action: “Reply to Listing” (yellow button) to contact/sponsor

Step 4: Make a Donation

  • Payment method: Direct PayPal payment to family’s email address
  • Distribution:
    • 90% goes directly to the sponsored family
    • 10% stays with SponsorAFamily.org to cover overhead, marketing, hosting, and PayPal processing fees

Step 5: Donor Dashboard

USER JOURNEY 2: SPONSORED FAMILY REGISTRATION & LISTING

Step 1: Start Registration

Step 2: Complete Listing Form

Required fields:

  • Images: At least 1 image (maximum 5, each ≤500KB, auto-compressed)
  • Title: Family name and location
  • Location: City, state, country (US only)
  • Family Description: Brief overview
  • Story: Detailed narrative about your family’s situation
  • Legal Name: Full name of primary family member
  • PayPal Email: Where you’ll receive sponsorship donations (90% of each donation)
  • Number of Kids & Adults: Family composition
  • Age Range: Ages of children
  • Affiliate Username: Your unique tracking username for donations to your family

Step 3: Submit & Auto-Publish

  • Accept terms and conditions
  • Click “Submit Listing” button
  • Auto-publish: Listings publish immediately (no manual moderation required)
  • Your listing goes live: Appears on All Listings page for donors to browse

Step 4: Receive Donations

  • Donors find your listing and make contributions via PayPal
  • You receive 90% of each donation directly to your PayPal email
  • SponsorAFamily.org retains 10% to cover platform costs
  • All donations to your family are tracked through your affiliate username

PAYMENT STRUCTURE

Example: $100 donation to a sponsored family

  • $90 → Sponsored Family (sent to their PayPal email)
  • $10 → SponsorAFamily.org (platform costs: hosting, marketing, PayPal fees)
